FAQ

  • How much does grooming cost?
Prices vary depending on breed, size, coat type, coat condition, & temperament. Extra fees may apply for excessive matting, excessive undercoat removal, and special handling! We always try our best to quote as accurately as possible but the final price will be determined after assessing your dog. View our pricing here Or contact us directly for a quote at 385-367-3680
  • How long does it take to groom my dog?
Most grooming appointments take around 2 hours but can vary anywhere from 1-4 hours, depending on the pets behavior, coat condition, and the services being performed. We will give you an estimated completion time at drop off. Every effort will be made to keep our scheduled grooms running smoothly and we will notify you via text or phone call when they are ready to be picked up. Please do not show up early as your dog may get over-excited and prevent us from being able to finish the job or cause unintentional injury. If you need your pets done by a certain time, please let us know prior and we will do our best to accommodate it.
  • How often should my dog be groomed?
How often your dog needs to be groomed depends upon a number of factors – their breed, home grooming routine, length of coat, general health, and lifestyle! Certain breeds need more frequent grooming than others. We recommend having your dog groomed every 4-8 weeks, whether you are doing a full haircut each time or alternating between a full haircut and baths. Daily brushing and combing is highly recommended in between grooms in order to keep your pets skin and coat in optimal health, especially if you are wanting to keep a longer length on your dog.
  • When should my puppy come in for its first groom?
Puppies are required to have their first two sets of puppy shots. We recommend starting puppies as early as possible to get them use to the salon environment, grooming process and make it a positive experience for them. This will help reduce anxiety and allow your puppy to relax and enjoy being groomed for future appointments. Please keep in mind that more time may be necessary to work with them. Puppy Introductions will typically include a bath with hypoallergenic shampoo, blow drying, brushing, nail clipping, ear cleaning, paw pads, light trimming and sanitary if needed, and of course lots of hugs and kisses throughout! We will not do full haircuts for their first grooming appointment. Most puppies are usually ready for full haircuts by their second or third appointment, but every puppy is different, and it just depends on how they react. Owners can help desensitize their puppies to the grooming process by working with them at home by regularly brushing them and getting them used to being handled!
  • My dog is aggressive and/or bites for grooming, will you still groom my dog?
We will always attempt to groom every dog in our care. If your dog is aggressive or difficult to work with and takes longer to perform grooming services, a $10-$30 Special Handling Fee may be applied. In the event that your pet becomes too stressed or too dangerous to groom, making it unable for us to safely finish them, we will discontinue the groom and only charge you for the services that have been rendered up until that point.
  • What are your hours?
